Funding
FUNDING YOUR OVERSEAS CAPSTONE YEAR
Students accepted into the Chinese Flagship Program may be eligible for funding for the overseas capstone program, overseas and domestic summer programs. Financial support including scholarships and grants, are available through NSEP, Flagship, BYU, FLAS, the federal government, and many other sources. Flagship students are expected to apply for all external funding before being awarded any federal Flagship funding. The Flagship Center Managing Director, rita_cortez@byu.edu, will work with each advanced Flagship student to ensure they apply to all sources of funding and receive adequate awards for the Flagship Overseas Program. Students are strongly encouraged to seek funding sources through private donors and scholarships, and save personal funds for their year abroad.
