Along with the STARTALK Chinese Language Camp for High School Students this summer, we will also be offering the BYU Chinese STARTALK Teacher Training Program. The program is a three credit course designed to train current and potential teachers at any level, K-12 or college, interested in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.

On September 23, 2008 Dr. Dana S. Bourgerie, director of the BYU Chinese Flagship Center testified before the U.S. Congress with a statement entitled “The Brigham Young University Chinese Flagship Program and its Role in the Utah Foreign Language Environment.”

We are now accepting applications for the HSK test in March.
New information on the 2009 HSK, BCT, and YCT tests is available at hsk.byu.edu. They will be administered at Brigham Young University on several dates throughout the year.
