Students may enter at the second semester
of the first year, or even into an intensive summer block before leaving
for China. It is sometimes possible for promising students with only
a slight deficiency to begin the program in the summer prior to typical
fall entry point so as to be prepared for the program. The modularization
of the curriculum and the individualized nature of the instruction allows
for flexibility in meeting the needs of participants.
